Welcome to the Milnerton Hebrew Congregation

The Milnerton Hebrew Congregation was started 32 years ago in 1980 It was originally affiliated to the Milnerton Jewish Guild which was very active in all the Jewish affairs of Milnerton. Eventually however the Congregation became more active then the Guild and took over running the services and so the largest congregation in Milnerton was born.

 The Milnerton shul offers a friendly, warm and heimish environment in which to explore your Jewish identity. Our Rabbinical team, Rabbi and Rebbetzin Opert have lead the community since 2008 and have integrated the vision, the resources and the potential of the shul into a dynamic Congregation that has seen it grow from strength to strength. They have been ably supported by our dedicated presidents and committee members and the commitment of our members.

 Life cycle events are joyous times that we look forward to celebrating with our congregants. Weddings, Aufruffs, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, Births and Britot are conducted and acknowledged in a meaningful way seeking to achieve the very best for our congregants and members of the community.

Congregants' problems, challenges to their health, funerals and minyanim are treated with sensitivity, understanding and compassion. The Shul Board is very active and meets on a monthly basis, supplemented by regular meetings of a large variety of enthusiastic sub-committees.
